Description

Basic Authentication is an insecure method of user authentication (RFC 7617) that encodes a username and password in an HTTP transaction. Credentials are included in the HTTP request header as follows: Authentication: Basic blob==.  These unencrypted credential pairs are easily reversed to plain text. This bundle will provide a dashboard as well as a record query for investigating transactions of basic authentication over HTTP.

Requirements

You must have ExtraHop Reveal(x) version 8.9 or later.
